There is a new craze in town and I for one am thrilled! Colouring is BACK. At the ‘grand old age’ of 28 I have recently come to realise that being an adult can suck. Gone are the days of mum doing the washing and a fridge full of free food. The stresses and strains of adult hood take their toll and I, along with many others, often find myself panicking about work-related targets and a never-ending to do list. I find it very difficult to switch off, lying in bed for hours over-thinking and over-worrying.
Colouring is a great way to occupy your mind and de-stress. Believe me, I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to fads but this one really does work. Don’t ask me the science behind it but when you are colouring you really don’t think about anything else other than the task in hand. With some headphones in playing your favourite music, this really is a therapeutically relaxing activity and one that you will soon become addicted to!
The illustrations in this creative therapy colouring book are incredibly intricate and require utmost concentration, hence taking your mind off other things. Who said colouring was just for children? So when you next feel yourself getting stressed I urge you to give this a go. Happy colouring peeps!
